Hi, wish to use on a tandem. Riders combined weight will be 440 lbs. Thoughts ?
These high end Made-In-Japan 27" tires are a great choice for an a vintage tandem with 27-inch wheels.
Since your tire's pressure mostly dictates weight capacity, as long as your required system pressure is lower than the max PSI of the tire, you will be good to go.
For your system weight, I am guessing you will want to inflate the rear tire to max pressure, and inflate the front a hair less. The max PSI of the 27x1-1/4" size Pasela is 95. You could also search for a tandem tire pressure calculator to get a second opinion.
