10-speed chains are not compatible with 9-speed. If you have a 9-speed cassette, you will need to use a 9-speed chain

I have a single speed bike with a 3/32 chainring and a 3/32 theory BMX freewheel Will this chain work on my bike
Modern 10-speed chains are 11/128 in width. A 3/32 tooth will be too wide and will jam up on a 11/128 chain.
