I have used this same tread for over 20 years good overall grip on tarmac. Great on dirt and sand. Has pretty good bite on packed snow or soft snow. I use on my BMX so these tires should fit clearance gaps with most brakes. I have 20 year old horseshoe brakes and they clear fine. I put over 300 miles on my newest pair and they just now need replaced
