Weinmann 519 26-inch 10x135 QR Rear Mountain Bike Shimano HG Cassette Type Rear Wheel

After damaging my rear rim, I purchased this rim on my commuter bike. The single rim is perfect for a commuter bike. I ride all year around and have bought Weinmann rims all my life. They hold up to tough road conditions. The Weinmann 519 rim fit my bicycle like a glove and is reasonably priced. Thank you Bikesmiths.

Good parts overall, exactly as expected. Wheel arrived with loose spokes, and a spoke nipple that was mis threaded and wouldn’t tighten all the way. Assume your wheel will come in way below tension, needs some partial rebuilding including adding some oil to the threads, and time spent putting spokes at proper tension/truing. If you know what you’re doing you can do this yourself in less than an hour, or pay your local shop to do it and pick it up a week later. I plan to take this wheel out for serious mountain biking and wouldn’t trust it to last past the first 2 hours in the condition it arrived in. As always, you get what you pay for. That said, the price I paid was excellent for a restoration project bike!
