Classic K35 Kenda 27x1-1/4 Tire+Tube Kit

I have a vintage Univega Custom Maxima bike. The tires currently on it say 27 x 1 1/8. I'm not very educated when it comes to bike tires. Will this kit work for me? or do I need to get the exact 27 x 1/8 rather than 27 x 1 1/4?

If your frame and fork has clearance for a tire that is 1/8-inch wider, then yes, you can use 27x1-1/4-inch tires.

The pictures show 2 tires in a kit, however the description seems to point to the idea that there is one tire per kit. How many kits are needed for two tires being replaced on a bike?

The tubes are rated for 27x1-1/4 tires. The rim tape is a basic 16mm or 19mm cloth tape depending on availability.

These tires hax a max PSI of 90.

I have a vintage Schwinn not sure about the details, it has 27-inch wheels, I’m trying to figure out if I need this kit (tire-tube-strip kit) along with valve tubes (27x1-1/8-1/4), if so can you explain why? #inexperiencedbikerepairer

Super hard to say without seeing the bike.  Older Scwinns can sometimes have 26x1-3/8 ISO 597 wheels which will not work with 27".  If you are sure that it is 27" then this kit should work fine.  Again, without seeing the bike, its hard to be definative.

I have a vintage Schwinn Sprint bike (no clue what year) and it needs 27” x 1 1/4” tires with new tubes. Would this be a good kit for that? I don’t know much about bikes but I really miss riding and need new tires + tubes. Thanks.

Can these be lightly used on gravel?

The K35 tread is a street style tread but can run fine on gravel.  As with most road bikes, some extra care should be considered when riding on loose gravel.  But in most cases, riders are fine to explore the gravel.

What items are in one kit? How many kits do I need for one bike?

One kit will contain:
(2) tires, (2) tubes and (2) rim strips
If you want to replace the tires, tubes and strips on both wheels for one bike you need just one kit.
