hello, so I currently have a Dicta 16t freewheel with 20 points of engagement. By any chance If I purchased a dicta 16t freewheel without the 20 points of engagement would It still be compatible with my bike/part would there be any real difference? Or MUST it be 20 points of engagement to be able to be compatible ?
The engagement points effect the feeling of the freewheel when starting pedaling. Compatibility is determined by the hub threading. And if tooth count is the same, then the gear ratio will also feel the same.
In short, engagement points are not critical to compatibility.
