        Will the Big Smoothie fit a wheel that has a 4.5 Tire on it now? The manufacturer said the wheel is 85 mm x 26" Yes, a 26x4.0 tire will fit on a 26-inch (ISO 559) rim that is 85mm wide.

        Will this tire be too large for the rim of a bike that currently has 26x3.45 tires on it? If your rim is 45mm or wider a 26x4.0 tire will fit. You should be most concerned about tire clearance. 26x4.0 is quite wide.

        Will this big smoothy 26 x 4.0 fit my 26 x 4.8 If your rim is 4.8” wide, then these tires will not be wide enough. However if you have 26x4.80 tires we can assume your rim may be less than 4-inches and therefore can accept a 26x4.0 tire.

        How many miles is tire good for? Mileage will depend on many variables such as; rider weight, terrain, pressure and riding style. There is no definitive miles a bike tire is good for.

        Can this tire be used tubeless? No the Big Smoothy is not a tubeless ready tire. Generally wire bead tires are not tubeless. Any tire we offer that is capable of running tubeless will be clearly advertised as tubeless.

        Would this tire be a good choice for a high performance ebike? I’m looking for a smoother faster rolling 26x4.0” fat tire. Thanks The Big Smoothy has been a popular choice for eBike riders.
