This is the brightest tail light within my budget. Super bright! I used this primarily for day time cycling use. Before using this light, the amount of distracted car drivers car drivers that had been brushing up against me at high speeds was out of hand. This light allowed me to fight back as the super bright flash mode disoriented them and forced them to allow a decent amount of space between me and their cars. This effect was immediate. I am talking in past tense about the light because after one week of use the rubber mounting band failed and the light fell off the bicycle and was lost forever. It will take a while to save up but I will undoubtedly buy this light again and make up my own type of mount which will be rubber band-less.

The Cygolite Hotshot Pro 200 light arrived quickly from Bikesmiths and is bright—yet, I'm not sure it is brighter than the Cygolite Hotshot Pro 150 when doing side-by-side comparisons.
