It may sound crazy but, I wanted a 28T ring to improve my bike's climbability with bikepacking bags. At 65 y/o, I'm not the climber I once was and this ring will enable me to ride sections I"d otherwise have to hike-a-bike. And, this was the only 28T ring I could find that would work on my Specialized Stout crankset. It's beautifully machined and works flawlessly.
